Born and raised on the Florida Keys, Sky was quickly introduced into what has become her biggest passion: Diving! Having ‘grown up’ on her family’s diving charter boats since age 3, Sky became a certified SCUBA diver at age 11. In 2014 she obtained her USCG 50-ton Master Captain License and operated three dive boats daily. Now, as the owner/operator of Islander Girl Snorkel & Tours and as a Keys native, Captain Sky’s mission is to offer personalized daily charters to our reefs to educate people about the importance of protecting our oceans and reefs! Annette Robertson serves as Celebration of the Sea’s Executive Director and is a world-class diver, adventurer and professional underwater photographer. Annette is also a member of the Board of Advisors for both the highly respected “Wyland Foundation” and “Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation” and has been nominated two times to receive the “Women Divers Hall of Fame Award”.
As a native of Miami, Annette’s life has always been connected to the ocean and the Everglades. Annette began her diving career in 1997 on a coral spawn, and now with over 5,000 dives to her credit, she has graced the cover of Sport Diver Magazine and appeared in numerous other magazines and television programs sharing her experiences exploring the world’s oceans. Annette’s photographic work continues to be featured through leading dive and travel magazines, books and fine art galleries. Annette has traveled internationally photographing the oceans in collaboration with the world’s leading underwater photographers that include Wyland, David Doubilet, Wes Skiles, Steven Frink and Guy Harvey. Annette’s love of nature and marine animals has always inspired her career as a professional photographer – both above and below the sea

Taylor was born and raised up in the mountains of North Georgia. She quickly realized being around the water was her passion, and moved down to Saint Simons Island to attend The College of Coastal Georgia. She is currently pursuing a degree in Tourism and Hospitality and plans to merge her two passions in Key Largo. She is excited to join the all girl crew of The Islander Girl and have some fun!

Abi is from St. Simons Island, GA. When she was 15 the Keys became her second home. Throughout the years, Abi has worked in the diving industry with Captain Sky. She is a dive master and pursing her captain’s license. Being a recent graduate from the University of Georgia, she now has a degree in Risk Management and Insurance. Until June, she will be first mate on the Islander Girl.
Rose is Born and raised in Victoria B.C. , Canada! She is studying at the University of Victoria for biology . Her passion is being on the water snorkeling, scuba diving, or simply soaking up some rays. She been coming down to the Florida Keys since she was 14 years old and working on the boats as an intern and dive master! She a scuba instructor. Let's go snorkeling!
Morgan aka "Capt Morgan"

Born and raised in the mountains of the Cumberland Gap, Morgan could always be found playing in any pool, lake, river or nearby stream. Upon receiving her B.S. degree in Marine Biology from the University of South Carolina, she worked as a biologist for shark research in South Carolina. She obtained her PADI Open Water SCUBA Instructor Certification and worked on dive teams at multiple aquariums. This gamecock then moved to the Florida Keys where she obtained her USCG 100-ton Captain License and has been teaching SCUBA and driving boats ever since.
As a boat captain and SCUBA Instructor, she strives to educate customers on marine life and the importance of ocean conservative. This “Little Mermaid” is so excited to be a part of The Islander Girl crew and cannot wait to share her passion “Under The Sea.” See you on the water!!!
Elizabeth Yancey graduated from the University of South Florida with a master’s degree, where she studied marine natural products chemistry and chemical ecology. Her research was focused on mangrove endophyte ecology, studying the interaction between mangrove-associated microbes and the larger mangrove environment. Additionally, she studied reef chemistry, specifically the pharmaceutical relevance of compounds biosynthesized by soft corals, sponges, and tunicates. After graduating, she has been pursuing a career in diving, working at BSA Sea Base and Capt. Slate’s SCUBA Adventures as a SCUBA instructor, with the intention of sharing her love and respect for the ocean and coastal environments with new and experienced divers alike.

Born in Colorado, but graduated from the University of Rhode Island with studies in Underwater Archaeology. I have been diving since I was eight years old and now I am a dive instructor. I dive all year around, it is one of my biggest passions in life. I will be leaving for the university of Haifa in Israel, for a masters in Underwater Civilization after the summer season.

She was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona but eventually realized she didn’t belong in the desert, but somewhere on a beach. After living in Key Largo and experiencing the lifestyle, she may never leave. Working towards a degree in Marine Biology because her passion has everything to do with making the ocean a better place. Soon to be part of a snorkeling and diving team and she couldn’t be more thrilled!
Araceli was born and raised in Miami, Fl and has always had a passion for the outdoors, but especially the ocean. Currently pursuing a degree in sustainability and the environment with a minor in marine biology, she knows it is crucial to get people as involved as possible in spending time in nature. She is happy to be aboard the Crown Conch and hopes to be able to spread awareness of the importance of enjoying and protecting of our beautiful Keys reefs.
Divemaster & First Mate
Hannah was born and raised in middle Tennessee. Growing up wakeboarding, swimming, and skim boarding on the lakes, she realized she wanted her life to be spent on the water. While pursuing her degree in Psychology at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, she became scuba certified and eventually got her divemaster. She worked as a scuba diver, animal handler, and free diving mermaid at an aquarium in the Smoky Mountains until she decided to move to the Keys and join the Islander Girl family!
